Residents in Littlehampton can take advantage of a new community centre thanks to Arun District Council.
Chilgrove House is part of the Arun Community Engagement Project and has been launched with a range of activities chosen by the public. Open to everyone, the space can be used to meet socially, exercise and gain help and support from the Arun Wellbeing team and local charities.
At the launch event on Saturday 09 April, families enjoyed a host of activities including a bouncy castle, face painting, raffle, games and taster dance classes. Arun Wellbeing, MIND, Cancer United, Voluntary Action Arun and Chichester, Citizens Advice Arun & Chichester, Aspire Sussex, Age UK, Osborne, Tivoli Lifestyle and Freedom Leisure were also there having provided practical support for the project or information and advice on the day.
“This is the second community centre to be launched in Arun as part of the Arun Community Engagement Project,” said chairman of Arun District Council Jim Brooks.
“The space and services these centres offer allow the local community to come together to support each other and have fun.”
The community centre is at Kimberry, Wick, and is open Monday – Friday for anyone.
